We’re starting a new series of posts around the idea of ‘Productivity Hotspots’ – key locations in different cities that are perfect if you need to take a break from your office, but still keep the productive energy flowing.
With the help of our South West Ninja Lee Cottier, we’re kicking off this series with a set of Productivity Hotspots for all of you Bristolian Productivity Ninjas!
Pros: “Funky, fun, flexible and friendly”
Pros: Great for working, as well as connecting. The transport links are excellent, as the lounge is located right by the station.
Cons: To use the lounge, you must be staff or a member of one of their partner employers/networks
Pros: There are several of these in and around Bristol, but this is the one with the biggest business lounge. It’s easy to drop in, the “Thinkpods” are especially great and the drinks are free! Plus, for the £49 per month that you pay, you can use all their business lounges worldwide, which is perfect for people who travel with work.
Pros: This is a brilliant project that re-purposes unused urban space. Their current “Pithay Studios” space offers great value full time desks – and a café. Plus, they’re soon to be opening a new city centre co-working space
Pros: An artistic/creative community, with a great on-site café.
Pros: Great value at just £10 per day, with a vibrant community and a café in the building
Pros: “Great project, fab people” – they have full time as well as hot desks available in their Happiness HQ.
Pros: Free! There are plenty of tables (and power sockets), as well as great food.
Cons: Can be busy at peak times
Pros: Free! The Reading Room is absolutely silent, which is perfect if you need a no-distractions Power Hour.
Cons: As aforementioned, you’ll need to be absolutely silent. The reading room has no power sockets so you’ll need a full battery – there is power in the laptop use area on the floor below, although it’s usually much busier.
