What makes a good entrepreneur?

I recently caught up with Rasheed Ogunlaru, who runs the ‘Making it as an Entrepreneur’ workshops at the British Libary’s business and IP Centre (which is a great place to check out if you run a business and are based in London, by the way!). Here, we talk about what makes an entrepreneur and some of the things to think about, particularly if you’re thinking about making the plunge to setting up your own business in the middle of tough economic times.

Thanks for sharing the conversation with Rasheed.

I thought that people trying to define/make their own destiny is absolutely a key characteristic of entrepreneurs. Together with vision+passion+persistence, which was mentioned also, you have what it takes to be a good entrepreneur. In addition to that it is absolutely critical that we are playing the entrepreneurial game to our strengths. Which means understanding who we are and what are talents are and aren’t and how to get into the flow both in our work and from a business and revenue generating standpoint. You can be passionate, have purpose, vision and even have great time management skills but if you’re playing the wrong style of play for you it still is going to be tough.

Thank you so much! I really liked your video as well because it looks so professional. I also like how we have a similar style in editing. Haha!

Good web site! I really love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I’m wondering how I could be notified when a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your RSS feed which must do the trick! Have a nice day!
