People assume that having the right mind set is crucial for productivity. That is only partially true. Our bodies need to be nurtured and taken care of in order to perform to its highest ability. It is not enough to be spiritually dedicated to your work when you are failing your body and it soon begins to fall apart. Below is a list of Productivity Ninja recommended foods that will help improve your productivity, as well as your health.

Bananas

As many people may know, bananas are filled with potassium. Consuming potassium helps with brain function as well as improving one’s mood. It produces tryptophan, an amino-acid that soon turns into the neurotransmitter, serotonin. A deficiency in serotonin can lead to a drop in mood and fatigue, so it is important to keep it up and stable. In addition, bananas help with memory and learning.

Avocados

One thing you may not know, is that avocados are higher in potassium than bananas. Therefore, all the benefits are doubled when consuming an avocado. Furthermore, it is overall high in various different types of nutrients, making it one of the healthiest fruits out there.

Pasta

As a carbohydrate, pasta provides glucose – a sugar –the type of sugar that is an energy source we need the right amount of intake of, in order to help our brain and muscle function. It releases energy slowly, meaning that you will not have a sudden drop in energy, since it is sustained for a long period of time.

Oats

There’s no exact cause of high blood pressure (HBP) but some contributing factors include stress. This could be any type of stress, such as work-related ones. Oats are known to lower blood pressure, which means that you are less likely to face health issues related to HBP. As a result, this means less time at the doctors, and more time being productive with your day.

Nuts

In a study tested on older women, it was found that nuts helped to improve their cognitive function. The study revealed that women who consumed nuts compared to those who did not, had higher scores in areas relating to memory recall and attention. Not only does it help with cognitive function, but it also helps with a person’s overall health.

Blueberries

Blueberries have been shown to improve memory. It contains anthocyanins, which has been connected with increased neuronal signalling in the brain that intercedes with memory function, and improved glucose disposal. Not only do they taste nice, but they are also good for your body and brain function.
